Rudeness

Why is it that we always have to return rudeness with rudeness or anger? This thing that is happening with Steve Slater right now is a prime example. Now, I know what you're going to say, people are just rude on airplanes and he has been under a lot of stress lately. Well, maybe so, but in my opinion (don't get rude if you don't agree with me) is that Steve should have shown a little bit more professionalism, AND the passenger that caused it all should be held just as responsible! Yea, I know we all want to get off the plane and get to where we are going, but shouldn't we use our MANNERS whenever we can and not be so rude to people? It may not solve all the world's problems or stop all the wars, but we just might find that we enjoy each other just a little more. I want to get off the plane too when I travel, but I know for a fact it does not give me the right to endanger my fellow passengers by getting my bag out of the overhead before we have stopped at the gate, or even step out in front of the other passengers when there is a space, and then proceed to take my sweet time getting my bag down either.
I have met several hurried flight attendants in the few times that I have flown and found that if I treat them with a little respect they usually return it, even they may be flustered or tired. One thing some people may forget is that we may see one or two incidents in all the times we fly, but remember people these flight attendants are flying alot more hours than we are and they get it all the time, ya think?
Maybe we should start taking the advice that they usually end "The Red Green Show" with and that is "Remember, I'm pulling for ya. We're all in this together" but if that don't work then maybe this one will work "If life gives you lemons, throw 'em into a quart of vodka."
Be careful out there!
