This time this is not a rant but a personal letter:
Friends, family, and neighbors,
You have all heard of what has happened with Victoria lately and I would like to give an update and request.  Victoria has been transferred to the Fred Lowthian Care Center here in Bremerton and is in the care of Hospice of Kitsap County since Friday the 17th of January.  She is comfortable and doing as good as expected.  Some have asked about transplants and other type of things but I do have to say that transplants are not being recommended because of what the body goes through and since the liver has (as far as the doctors say) shutdown too far and that the kidneys are not getting the fluid from the where it is supposed to get it from (blood vessels) then they are not expected to get any better any time soon either.  Lots of friends and family all over the country have been praying (about 10 states worth I think) and I and our kids are still hoping for a miracle and there will be improvement.  I am not sure that there will be any improvement but I am still hoping, I am not ready to be a widower yet.  When Victoria and I got married many years ago we vowed through sickness and health, richer or poorer, till death do us part and we have been looking for the health and richer portions for a long time now.  As lots of you know Victoria and I have been the sole proprietors of Victoria’s Photography @ Photo Dynamics, a Photo Studio/Lab since 2002.  Now, it could be said that we should have gotten out of the business many years ago but, Victoria and I kept trying things that would help a little and keep our faith that things would be looking up really soon.  Well, the economy didn’t help any and we have been feeling a little short for quite a while.  I am a the type of person that really does not like asking for help with money and stuff and it really gets me down that we have been on foodstamps for quite a while and I wish that we didn’t have to be.  That being said I am afraid that with the lab being shut down for a few days that there are some bills that I am not sure that I will be able to find the funds to pay them.  I am afraid that we will have to cut some things out and tighten the belt a little but some are sort of necessary, like propane for the house for heating, cooking and water heater and the phone and network connection at the lab for staying connected with our customers and others too.  I will have to decide if I will be continuing the lab if Victoria does go to see Jesus, but I am not there yet and I am sort of leaning of restructuring and continuing but there again I am not sure I want to do it without her.  On the other hand I may have been out of the job market long enough and I am old enough that it may be really hard finding something else for me to do so I may not have much choice either.  On that note I am asking for some charity so at least stave off a little bit of creditors for a little while.  We have a PayPal account that we have used for transactions through eBay for the business and if you or anyone that you know would feel it in your heart to lend a hand I would be more than eternally grateful.
I thank you all for your prayers and thought in these trying times, with love to you all,
David Quinn

Husband to Victoria
